Many iPod transfers can only transfer music and video, not including photos, Podcast etc. from iPod to computer, and computer to iPod transfer is not allowed.
Differently, AVCWare iPod to iPod/Computer/iTunes Transfer enables users transfer music, video, and most importantly, photos, playlist, TV programs and Podcast between ipod and computer, iPod and iPhone, and supports music and video transfer from iPod and iTunes(No photo transfer to iTunes, however).
It's compatible with all iPod/iPhone, also works well with my iPod Touch 3.1.1. After download the trial version, it provides update freely and fast.
The AVCWare Transfer promise that feature manage up to 26 iPods at the same time, I only own an iPod Touch 3.1.1 and an iPhone, though. I guess none of us would plug more than 4 iPods to only one computer at one time. Anyway, the transfer between iPod Touch and iPhone works great!
Like most of iPod transfer software, AVCWare Transfer provides very human user interface and Filter, Quick Search. And the playlist can be manager by renaming, deleting and creating.
Songs from eMusic, ripped from some CDs, or added from other sources are often missing album art. With AVCWare iPod to computer transfer, we can manually add any images as cover of any songs. In the thumb view mode, the image from computer would be added as the song's cover and also be deleted from "Illustration". That may enables you create song cover without an expensive specific cover maker.
As to speed, I tried to transfer 50songs, which occupy 300M probably, and the process was extremely fast that only take less than one minute. However, when I deleted songs, the transfer seems only allow to delete songs individually. That will waste much time to move the music folder or the whole library when you just finish the backing up and decide to erase them from you iPod. Fortunately, I found at last that with "Ctrl" and make files you want to delete selected, and click "Delete", it then work! I think this's a simple but important point that AVCWare should improve.
Another downside of the program is that it will take more than 5 seconds to launch the software. And on a computer without iTunes on it, AVCWare will be failing to recognize your iPod. |
